Excuse me ? I initiated this thread !
I am perfectly aware of this fact. You wrote the first mail and were
absent several weeks. Serge Marelli already wrote things about
helpdesk support on 17-07-2004 15:18 on "your thread". The same
arguments you warmed up weeks later. The fact that you wrote the first
mail doesn't change a thing to the fact that you must have skipped
some mails.
This discussion (that has no reason at all to be) comes from my mail of
the 16-7-04 with subject "Alternet ADSL: Tarification flat rate 256 K à
33 EUR/mois" saying that -as far as I know- Alternet was the best flat
rate offer for DSL service at the speed of 256 Kb/s in Luxembourg at
that time. Full stop. There was no reason to answer to this with Coditel
stuff: it was not a discussion about DSL compared to cable-tv providers
or whatever. It was just an information that I had and that could be
interesting to some peoples, especially the ones like me that do not
live in Coditel coverage or have no cable-tv access or prefer DSL or
whatever, and that is not yet on Alternet web site.
There were only 3 possible answers:
1. Yes, they have a checklist, where everybody without Linux fall
through before they can even report a problem
2. They are able to take problem reports without sucking
3. I don't know
One of these 3 answers would have given me satisfaction immediately.
But instead I have to lose time!
