Just got over
130 Kbytes per second now with a test download. Sweet.
That easely let one forget the port 25 issue some time ago ;-)
130kbps is fat from 1024kbps... very far.
And it wouldn't let me "forget" bad QoS and bad communication policy.
No, it is very close to the theoretical maximum.
Let's calculate:
1 Byte = 8 Bit
1024 / 8 = 128 Kbytes per second
Now I got 130 Kilo Bytes! Not bad. I downloaded OpenOffice ;-)
Before the transition I got regularly 65 Kbytes per second. Not bad either.
The Coditel network seems to very good and far from overloaded. You
often get the theoretical maximum.
And it wouldn't let me "forget" bad QoS
and bad communication policy.
I used T-Online with T-DSL for 2 years. I had many problems. The
connection was less reliable and I had great problems with the billing
department. It took 5 personal visits in the T-Punkt, 3 letters by
recommendation, 7 normal letters and many phone calls. The issue never
got resolved, but since I moved to Luxembourg... ;-) The staff at the
T-Punkt always said that I was right when I presented the facts, but the
billing department in Koblenz never got it.
