KEYMAP="fr_CH-latin1"
SET_WINDOWKEYS="yes"
But surely xorg.conf is the one to configure it:
Section "InputDevice"
~ Identifier "Keyboard0"
~ Driver "kbd"
~ Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
~ Option "XkbLayout" "fr_CH"
~ Option "XkbVariant" "nodeadkeys"
EndSection
So, how do I type a e^ OR c-cedilla?
ctrl-e+^ combo
the well known: ALT+<ascii-code>
doesn't work either.... :(
Looks like the "nodeadkeys" is the problem - it deactivates the
composition of characters (i.e. ^e for ê) - at least iirc.
I have no XkbVariant set, but I'm still on XFree86 here... don't
know exactly how large differences are yet.
Btw c-cedilla should be a simple shift-4 on a swiss keyboard.
