Der Raspberry Pi hat die Begeisterung vieler Bastler geweckt und steht
bereit, den Informatikunterricht an Schulen zu revolutionieren. In Trier
hat sich mit Pi And More eine Veranstaltung etabliert, die den
Wissensaustausch rund um “kleine Computer” fördert. Dieser “Raspberry
Jam” ist nicht nur ein Rahmen für interessante Vorträge und Workshops,
sondern auch die beste Gelegenheit, in lockerer Atmosphäre aktiv zu
werden - sei es mit den ersten Schritten oder mit spannenden Projekten.
Die Veranstaltung startete im August letzten Jahres an der Universität
Trier und fand im Januar seine Fortsetzung an der Hochschule Trier. Pi
And More 3 ist für Samstag, den 15. Juni 2013 geplant und soll wiederum
an der Universität Trier stattfinden.
Wir suchen Personen, die Vorträge oder Workshops anbieten möchten,
vorzugsweise in deutscher, alternativ in englischer Sprache. Die
angebotenen Themen können sich an Einsteiger wie auch an Profis richten.
Ebenso interessiert sind wir an Beiträgen zum Einsatz des Raspberry Pi
im Schulunterricht.
Beispielsweise können einsteigerfreundliche Themen wie die Installation
des Raspberry Pi, erste Programmierschritte, Lernprogramme oder die
Umsetzung eines Medienzentrums mit XBMC vorgestellt werden. Aber auch
fortgeschrittene Themen wie Assembler-Programmierung oder Kompilieren
von Programmen werden gerne gesehen. Nicht zuletzt können auch eigene
Entwicklungen und Projekte präsentiert werden.
Beiträge sollten bis zum 5. Mai 2013 mit Titel und Kurzbeschreibung
(etwa 160-200 Wörter) über unten angegebenes Formular eingereicht
werden. Die Entscheidungen über die Annahme der Beiträge werden am 15.
Mai mitgeteilt.

The Raspberry Pi has drawn the attention of hobbyists around the world
and is poised to revolutionize computer science teaching in schools. In
Trier, Germany the “Pi And More” event has been established to promote
the exchange of knowledge about “small computers”. This “Raspberry Jam”
is not only a framework for interesting talks and workshops, but also
the best opportunity to get started with exciting projects.
The Pi And More series started at the University of Trier in August last
year and the second event was held at the Trier University of Applied
Sciences in January. Pi And More 3 is planned to take place at the
University of Trier on Saturday, June 15, 2013.
We are looking for people who want to offer talks and workshops,
preferably in German or alternatively in English. The topics can be
targeted at beginners as well as professionals. Likewise, we are
interested in contributions regarding the use of the Raspberry Pi in school.
For example, beginner-friendly topics such as the installation of the
Raspberry Pi, first programming steps, educational applications, or the
implementation of a media center with XBMC can be presented. Also
advanced topics such as assembly language programming or compiling
programs are welcome. Last but not least, we are interested in
presentations about your own projects and developments.
Contributions can be submitted until May 5, 2013 with a title and
abstract (about 160-200 words) via the form linked below. You will
receive a notification of acceptance or non-acceptance on May 15.

representatives of the two universities of Trier and the research groups
of Prof. Peter Sturm (University of Trier) and Prof. Jörn Schneider
