Je vous explique mon problème. J'ai un client qui a une caméra qui a une fonction de détection de mouvements (classique) et la possibilité d'envoyer une alerte (avec vidéo ou non) par e-mail. Il suffit donc de configurer, au niveau de la caméra, les paramètres SMTP... Mais non. Le client avait le relais GMail configuré, et ça marchait très bien, mais depuis début septembre, Google n'accepte plus que des "connexions sécurisées", c'est-à-dire pas authentifiées par login/password. Mais la caméra ne fait pas le oAuth ou autre. Du coup, on cherche une autre solution... Évidemment, pas de relais SMTP ouvert sur Internet, et on voudrait une solution pérenne (pas un truc qu'il faut refaire tous les six mois ou à chaque changement d'adresse IP dynamique...) Le client ne dispose pas d'un serveur, d'une adresse IP fixe ou quoi que ce soit: une caméra et une FritzBOX, connectée en fibre... L'ISP est Tango. Suivant toutes les docs publiées sur leur site, et obtenues via le help-desk, les paramètres sont: Serveur: mail.tango.lu Port: 25 Authentification: Non. Mais lorsque je me connecte sur ce port, depuis le réseau du client (bien connecté à Internet via Tango), je n'ai pas de "prompt" de la part du serveur ni de réponses à mes commandes SMTP. Pourtant, la connexion TCP s'établit bien... Je suspecte une protection de type "Port Knocking" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port_knocking) et donc j'aurais voulu vérifier ça en configurant un client e-mail avec des credentials de compte Tango... Mais le client n'a pas de compte e-mail Tango et n'a pas ce besoin. Pour faire les tests, je cherche donc comment créer un compte e-mail Tango pour un client Tango... Vous allez me dire: "téléphone à Tango", mais là, ils n'ont pas compris la question, et ils m'ont dit: "Pour envoyer un e-mail, il suffit d'aller sur la page Tango.lu, en bas à gauche, il y a un bouton "Contactez-vous"... J'ai donc besoin de votre aide, surtout de la part d'un client Tango... Configuring a dd-wrt router to replace the Fritzbox with Tango

Hello, I’m new to that list, and not really a linux specialist, so I’m sorry if my « language » is not very pro in this message... But I will be very happy if you can help me on this one :) I would like to get rid of my Fritzbox, knowing that my ISP is Tango So, I’ve bought a Netgear R9000 with dd-wrt installed (v3.0-r42335 std (02/10/20) with it’s WAN port connected directly to the optical termination point After a search on internet, I’ve tried to configure dd-wrt with : - connection type : pppoe with my username/password - VLAN tagging (eth=) : 35 But no connection and no WAN IP assigned So, do you know if it’s possible to get rid of the Fritzbox with Tango, and then can you explain to me how to configure my dd-wrt router ? If it’s not possible, do you know how to configure the dd-wrt router to have the WAN IP addressed with the Fritzbox in bridge mode (I’ve tried but failed…) Many thanks and have a good day Pierre

Linux Mint - Multiseat

Hi, I have read about the possibility to use Linux in multiseat mode (two people working at the same time using one pc, two monitors, two mice and keyboards). Unfortunately it turns out too diffcult for me to configure and install everything (rather poor documenteation). Now I am desparately trying to find somebody willing to help me get everything done. This service would not have to be done fro free, of course. I live in Lux-city (Clausen). I already have all necessary hardware. Ubuntu - unable to start desktop

Hello, I'm trying to install Ubuntu on an elderly PC (AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core 5200+), with onboard graphics. At first sight, everything looks fine, until I try to log in . After typing my password at the login screen, I get a flickering screen, with an error message popping up every couple of seconds. To be able to get the error, I had to take a picture of the screen with my mobile. Basically, the error says: " compiz crashed with SIGSEGV " This behaviour is the same regardless if I boot the installed system or if I use the "Try Ubuntu" without installing the system. Potential solutions found by googling refer to problems with some Intel graphics, so I guess they are not relevant. Or booting another kernel, but there is none. Etc. I have also tried the Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, which shows all the same behaviour. (I thought 18.04 might have too high requirements to the hardware, so I switched to an older version). Does anybody have an idea how to get around this? Regards, JJ Mouris

Netbook & Xubuntu 18.04.1

Hello, I have a question concerning Linux and drivers of some hardware. I have a Netbook Asus EEEPC 1101HA and I installed Xubuntu 18.04.1 on it and the hardware which is not working is the Touchpad. When I am connecting an external optical Mouse, the cursor is moving, but not with the Netbook own Touchpad. How can I make the Touchpad running? Best regards Paul Hetting Sent from my iPhone

Tango VoIP

Hello, I use Tango Fibre M with an OpenWrt-based router, without any Fritzbox at all. This Tango package includes a fixed line phone number which I currently do not use. As far as I know the providers have switched to SIP generally, so I wonder if, provided I know the connection parameters, I could set any SIP-phone and use the fixed line which I pay for? Does anyone have experience setting up something similar? Best regards, Yves

USB net erkannt

After some research I found I have to set, install e Z dev rule... That seems diffcult to me. I would be grateful if anybody could give me a hand. Appel à candidature

Une association luxembourgeoise qui désire (pour le moment) rester anonyme, recherche un volontaire pour sécuriser leur site web. Il tourne sous Linux (administration par Plex), avec un serveur Apache, une base de données MySQL et une programmation en PHP. Leur problème, c'est qu'ils savent qu'on leur vole des informations régulièrement. Il ne s'agit donc pas de web-design, ni de développements nouveaux (pour le moment) mais juste de sécuriser le site, si besoin est en corrigeant/réécrivant le code PHP existant. Si c'est bénévole, ce serait sympa (on ne sait jamais: un jeune membre qui désire se faire une expérience afin de l'ajouter à son CV...) mais il peut y avoir une compensation financière également. PPPoE setup for Tango Fibre

Hi, I want to set up an internet connection on an OpenWrt based router to connect to my ISP which is Tango (Fiber). I have an "Intertek"-branded ONT (Model G-010G-A) which was installed by Post So far I have not had success. I believe it's PPPoE, and apart of the user/password, I need to spoof the mac-address to pretend my router is their crippled Fritz!Box, and use vlan 35. Not sure though, and maybe there are more settings (access concentrator maybe?) Does anyone have experience with this? I am looking for some hints :) Thanks in advance.

OpenConnect and VPN.etat.lu

Hi guys, I just wanted to see if any of you were currently successfully using the CTIE's anyConnect based VPN with openconnect ? It worked for me once in April and since then I'm unable to make it work, and of course, "nothing changed". According to someone at the CTIE, "some people" have it working with openconnect. I was hoping one of them might be among you.
