Let's try to have more high-profile presentations involving:

  • High-profile speaker (Brent and Alain Rassel know people who can speak about Linux-related subjects)
  • A better room (Caramba might be able to give us access to their cinemas. Or use a conference room in a hotel)
  • Main presentation to be preceded by a LiLux and a Caramba mini-presentation
  • Event will be followed by a reception (wine, "pain surpris") where people can network
  • Entry fee (to cover for the reception, and maybe the room)
  • Optional pre-registration (to estimate number of participants for food etc)
  • Publicity of event in papers and newsletters of befriended clubs (engineering societies, ISOC, etc.)

Brent has experience with such events that he organized for other associations
