So we might suggest one distribution per "case" (type of user, type of 
usage).

I don't think it is ridiculous, and the fact that you have to go through 
  <quote> tons </quote> of different installations until you find what 
you like is in my opinion a major problem to get Linux more popular. I 
know, it is already popular - but a lot of my friends have a 
distribution installed, but don't really use it. They just carry on 
using Windows.
