Blocking might have been a good idea...
- not telling users/customers in advance
- not documenting it
- not mentionning it on their website
- denying it on the phone and helpline
- not foreseeing that some customers might have problems and preparing
the hotline for it
et caetera
that's just worse than lousy and more than sucks
