Sometimes I also get the same messages when I have quickly put together 
a Linux machine with "written off" components. These components often 
have been manufactured in different eras (for ex. old HD and newer 
Motherboard). I think that it relates to timing problems. But I have 
never lost data when I got these messages.

Install Windows. Then you will have a slow system without knowing why 
;-) There may be millions of systems like this in the world ;-)
