Available in KDE configuration center or in SaX2, this option is
actually implemented in the XF86Config file (on my system under
/etc/X11/XF86Config).

In the section "device", you'll find something as:

Section "Device"
  BoardName "GeForce4 MX 440"
  BusID "1:0:0"
  Driver "nvidia"
  Identifier "Device[0]"
  Screen 0
  Option "Rotate" "off"
  VendorName "NVidia"
EndSection

Just replace the "off" by "on".

Not supported by NVidia 3D accelerated mode.

I think it answers your question. I use it sometimes. It works fine.
